There is something so tender and transformative about maternity sessions. Every mother is carrying a story — one of anticipation, growth, and love stretching into new spaces. Whether it’s a first child or the fourth, that bond is already there, blooming quietly beneath the surface.
This session was such a special one for me, because the beautiful mama you see here is also a dear friend. We’d been dreaming up this shoot for a while — between nap schedules, snack breaks, and the joyful chaos of having toddlers underfoot. When we finally found a summer day that worked, we gathered at a friend’s garden, picked flowers right from the yard, and leaned fully into the beauty of the moment. 🌼✨
The sun couldn’t have been more perfect — that warm, golden-hour light wrapping around her like it was meant just for her. That glow, that peace, that quiet confidence… that’s motherhood.

Why Maternity Photography Matters
Pregnancy is a season that feels long in the moment, but fleeting in memory. We spend months growing a tiny human, preparing, hoping, dreaming… and then suddenly, they’re here in our arms.
For me, maternity photography is about slowing down to admire this chapter in real time capturing it with emotion and intention. I want every parent who steps in front of my lens to feel exactly how beautiful they are, inside and out.

A Little Creative Magic
This session also allowed me to tap into one of my favourite parts of the creative process — thoughtfully enhancing scenes to feel more magical and storytelling-forward. Although the garden was already beautiful, I added artistic touches in post-editing to enhance the florals, bring forward the warmth, and give the final portraits a dreamy, almost enchanted feel.
These little artistic choices can completely transform a memory into something that feels like a fairytale.
A Baby Already So Loved
This little one was her second, and her gentle connection with her growing family was present in every expression — soft smiles, hand resting beneath her belly, eyes dancing with excitement.
I’m endlessly grateful for families who trust me to capture moments like these.
